I love colours!!
Colours provoke all kinds of emotions.
Colours can stimulate the senses.
Colours can evoke memories of times gone by.
Colours can sometimes even make you cry.
I can sing a rainbow, but I need to keep it real,
I love how all colours can affect the way I feel!!
Red and Yellow and Pink and Green, Purple and Orange and Blue,
So here are the colours from a nursing perspective, just trying to keep it real,
Not exactly the beautiful imagery that colours normally deal,
Red, the colour of bleeding, haemorrhage if you will,
Yellow, the colour of urine that I ask you to pee in a pot,
Pink, the colour of people perfection breathing, well perfused and not too hot,
Green, the colour of bile that you vomit into a bag,
Purple, the colour between pink and blue that things are turning bad,
Orange, the colour of the emergency resuscitation bag to prevent anything sad,
Blue, the colour that things are grim and emergency treatment should be had,
Red and Yellow and Pink and Green, Purple and Orange and Blue,
I can sing a rainbow and do CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) too,
I hope everyone else can sing a rainbow and learn CPR,
Then you too will see the colours in a whole new light as you too become a life saver!!
P.S Please note my beautiful readers dialling OOO may not be available as an emergency service number in your area, please check with your local area health service for emergency numbers in your area!
And have a beautiful not too colourful in a bad way day, but magnificently colourful day in a kaleidoscopic good way!!
Peace, Love and Happiness xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox 😮

I know, probably a bit confronting. That’s just how we see things in our day to day nursing. Thanks for stoping by Maddie, I’m still learning about this whole writing journey. Hopefully one day I’ll be as wonderful as you are at it! 🙂
